Poppy Quest is a fundraising walk with added intrigue. It’s a fun way to find out more about your city, while raising funds for Poppyscotland’s life-changing work with the Armed Forces community.

 

We’ll provide you with a map and questions to help you navigate the route, and there are unique prizes for fundraising

FAQs

What is the Poppy Quest?

Poppy Quest is a new Poppyscotland fundraising event. Once you register, we provide you with a map and a series of questions to navigate your way around Edinburgh. The route is around 10k and is suitable for all ages.
 

What time does the event start?

You’ll be notified of your start point in your city and we’ll ask you to register there between 10 – 11am.
If you’re taking part as a youth team, you’ll start from 9am.

How long is the route?

The routes are approximately 10k, with plenty of opportunities to stop for a coffee, have lunch or just enjoy the view. We expect that most people will complete their Poppy Quest in 2 – 3 hours.


Are there any age restrictions?

Anyone can take part in Poppy Quest, so feel free to bring along friends and family of all ages. Please note that children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I walk on my own?

Absolutely – you’re very welcome to take part in Poppy Quest on your own. 

Can I bring my dog?

Both routes are dog-friendly and you’re welcome to bring your dog. Please make sure they’re on a lead throughout the event and that you clean up after them.
 

What happens if the event is postponed?

If we need to postpone an event, we will offer participants a choice of transfer to the new date or a refund. All our events operate in line with Covid-19 guidelines at the time. 
 

How much do I have to fundraise?

Registration fees only help to cover the event costs so your fundraising is really important to help us keep supporting our Armed Forces community.

How do I raise money online?
