Your questions answered

Can we fundraise however we like?
Yes, of course. But it’s a great idea to give your events a 1918 theme. For example, by dressing up in clothes of the day, swimming 1,918 metres or holding a Charleston dance-a-thon.

Do we have to raise £1,918?
It’s always good to have a target and £1,918 is a fitting tribute to those who served in WW1. However, any amount you raise is greatly appreciated and will make a big difference to the Armed Forces community living in Scotland.

Do we donate as we go along or in one go?
It’s totally up to you. If you prefer to donate as you go along, we’ll keep you up-to-date on your total. Or you can make a single donation when the campaign ends on 11th November 2018. Don’t forget to share your progress with others in our online book.

Where will the money raised go?
Your fundraising will help fund vital support for those who have served, those still serving and their families. From employment advice and emergency grants, to support with housing and mental health issues, Poppyscotland improves thousands of lives every year.
