We’re encouraging people who live and work in Edinburgh City Centre to go the #ExtraMile on Thursday 3rd November. Those in the Armed Forces regularly go the extra mile in the line of duty, and we’re encouraging the Scottish public to go the #ExtraMile in recognition and support of this.

ExtraMile mapStarting at Festival Square on Lothian Road at 12.30pm, the Lunchtime #ExtraMile will then take you along Princes Street, through the Field of Remembrance and into St Andrew’s Square for around 1pm, where there will be live entertainment.

We also have three special podcasts for you to download and listen to along the way. Walk a mile in the shoes of one of our inspirational veterans and show your support for the 2016 Scottish Poppy Appeal. Registration is not required; just assemble in Festival Square for 12.25pm on Thursday 3rd November.
