Respite & Breaks

Poppy Breaks are available to all members of the Armed Forces community, whether they are serving personnel, veterans or their families. We recognise that a short break can play a significant role in reducing stress and boosting health.

Holiday park breaks are available at Parkdean and Haven holiday parks in Scotland near Edinburgh, Dumfries, Ayr and Pitlochry as well as other UK wide destinations.

We also make use of The Royal British Legion’s Break Centres in England and Northern Ireland. These are equivalent to high-standard, hotel-style accommodation.

Adventure breaks offer fun, activity packed weeks for young people of Service families.

Breaks are available throughout the year, however breaks involving school age children are only available during official school holidays, between March and October.

Our respite services are also available to those who are in genuine need of a break. Please note that all applications are assessed on a basis of need and means.
